Toni, I meant no disrespect to you or your opinion of my image. As you can see in my comment back to you, I said I knew it was grainy and soft. I'm not denying that fact. It was a low light situation, I used available light, and it was underexposed. I worked with it in PS because I like the pup's expression and his sweet eyes. This image shows off his personality and sweetness. No, it's not a technically perfect photo. Maybe not even a good one in some's opinion. As you so eloquently stated, "to each his own." That's the beauty of the art of photography. We don't all have to like the same thing. I'm sorry you don't like it. But it doesn't take away the meaning and the feeling I get when I look at it. I happen to like it in black & white too. I post what I like. This particular image was a gift for my brother, it's his puppy. And he loved it.

I'm not sure why you felt you needed to lash out at me over my picture. Sorry if I offended you in any way with my comment.

I'm glad you like it, but I think if you place a price tag on it, you'll be your only customer. You don't have to agree with my critique, but I know the difference between a crisp photo and a fuzzy grainy one. And you having to tell me it was a brown dog and not a black one should say something about this photo. You have some nice photos in your portfolio, so I don't understand exactly what you see in this one and what made you think converting it to B&W would make it any better. To each their own I guess.

Thanks Paul, I was afraid it might be too dark. But I like it. I'm glad you like it too.

This is delicate, and nicely exposed, Dale Ann.

Toni, this dog is brown, not black. It doesn't look green at all to me, perhaps it's a monitor issue. It is a little soft & grainy, but I like it. Thanks for the comment.

I like how you got down to the dog's eye level. The photo however looks fuzzy, grainy and tinted with green. I know how difficult it is to photograph a black dog, but I think you've got the prespective down to a Tee!
