Thank you my friend, I did not use a long lense, I used a very wide angle lense. Nikons 10.5 mm@2.8 fisheye.

Between a landscape and an abstract of a landscape. I hear the sound "...in the desert you can remember your name, for the is nobody for to give you no shame... "
Great work!

Hi Gregory, I like the use of the 10.5mm lens. It really makes the viewer zoom in to the mountains in the distance, as the wide angle distortion around the edges does emphasise the vastness of the desertscap. I presume you did correct the fish eye of the original image; Think that's a very good call, it makes the scene less excessive in it's distortion, creating a more natural and realistic landscape. Very well done!
Cheers,
Hugo

This is incredible... every time I see a shot like this, I start looking for a really wide lens... but no one seems to cater to Pentax shooters. But yeah... this is awesome. I always have such a hard time getting deep blue skies and visible ground at the same time. You've done both here... good one.

Thank you Paul, aside from correcting for the fisheye in Nikonview, I did very little manipulating, the sky was incredible this day, I used a digital graduate neutral density filter.

Fantastic capture! If you don't mind me asking... aside from correcting for lens distortion and resizing, did you manipulate this image in any way? If not, did you use any lens filters?
Keep up the good work! Paul
