4 Bricks, 1 Head, 1 Sledgehammer. Something had to give. This was taken on 2/3/03 at the China State Circus in Reading, UK. The hammer was moving very fast, the head however, lived.
Hi GP, Thanks for your kind comment. I agree some of the negative space could go - the shot is currently uncropped - I had to have the space at the top when taking as the hammer man was standing up and I had to keep an eye on him for timing. Cheers Chris
Perfect timing and exposure for a terrific capture - especially admirable as I am sure the shooting situation was not an easy one. I might trim a bit of the negative space up top, as not so much is needed for the composition in this shot - just my opinion. I really wish more people would visit and enjoy this image, as well as much of the fine work in your portfolio... mahalo, GP.
