I saw this man from a distant when I was down shooting at bricklane market a few sundays ago, it was packed with people getting their last minute christmas gifts going about their buisness not even noticing him. The situation reminded me of a small boat caught up in a storm in the middle of a large ocean. Thrown from side to side by the uncaring currents and held back wave after wave and still he (the boat kept going unperturbed. I watched until I almost lost sight of him and then I ran to catch him up myself also fighting against the currents until I stopped by him. We spoke for a few minutes about inclusive transport, accesibility in London, he told me his name but without pen and paper it would have been better not to, still I have this picture and will look out for him in future but this time with pen and paper
I found him again and now bump into him every so often, His name is 'Malek' when we meet we have a chat about life and my work, he is a pleasent man with a very calming presence.
