About Looking over the horizon in the country last night, I noticed how many different people were celebrating with fireworks. In this view alone, 8 different groups were sending fireworks skyward.

The view is about one mile across.

Thanks, Matt. I got this in one shot at a shutter speed of 10 seconds. I cropped it to get the panorama effect.

I had noticed all the fireworks firing along the horizon and figured that 10 seconds was probably long enough to capture most of them. It seemed to work.

Hi Mark.
Realy like this. Did you bracket the exposures,or did you get it in one shot?

"Fly high by the 4th of July"...No, it's not that!
"Knee high by the 4th of July"...or will it be
"Celebrate high by the 4th of July???"
Beautiful capture, Mark.
Best regards.

Hi Mark, Very intersting panoramic shot. Looking at the scattered fireworks made me think about two things: First, I think this shot would also do great without the fireworks, and secondly, as the bursts are basically everywhere, my eyes keep shifting from back and forth. I wonder if a more close up point of view, singling out only a few bursts could've created a more harmonious photo. (similar to your lighting photo Strike one...Strike two, which is spectaclular) Either way, it is a very well captured shot, and the fireworks do add to the scene.

Cheers,

Hugo

Nice panorama, Mark. I went on a friend's rooftop and had the same idea, it really was an awesome sight, but no camera. Happy fourth!
