About Hi All,

And now back to something less controversial...:)

Overwhelming towers, reaching to the sky, each of them trying to out scale the other. The embodiment of the bristle of commerce and the franticness of life is like the tower of Babel. Within the millions rushing in and out, there must undoubtedly be the one unrecognised genius who will revolutionise our daily life. The heritage to his beliefs as old as the world; the limit is beyond the sky.

Camera settings:
ISO Sensitivity: 200 ASA
Focal length: 17mm
Aperture: f/11
Shutterspeed: 1/125'
Exposure Comp: -2/3 EV

Photoshop: Masking and partial tonal tweaks.

Your comments are, as always, very much appreciated.

Cheers,

Hugo

It seems you use this as an introduction to your subject and it works well for the purpose. The feature that hit me immediately when I opened this was the apparent fluidity of the reflected building. It is still the main aspect of this photo and it seems a good feature to build commentary on if you are so inclined.

Wonderfull shot, i like the few light blue parts at the top of the tower. The reflections is simply perfect, and i like it that the two white towers are reflected in some sort of a 'shaky' position. The colours and the tones are really well!! First you told me you wheren't in framing, but this frame looks really nice, it really add's something to the picture, wonderfull choice!

Indeed not heart from me for a long time, i am really busy with school, and i missed a lot of great action from you! But i have a 'new' camera a ricoh xr-2, but on the 3day i allready made a mistake: made a picture when the batteries where low, the mirror didn;t come down anymore. Someone is trying to fix it for me, hope it works out :P I really appreciate it that you immediatly put a comment on my photo, thanks!
greets, Lex!

Hello Hugo! How have You been?
Hope You are well Friend!
This is a very good angled reflection of the interesting buildings Hugo!
The reflection itself is very crisp and clear and I love how the dark glass saturates the colors, something like a polarizing filter does.
The angle of the shot gives this image alot more visual interest than a perfectly vertical shot would have.It also gives the viewer the feeling of standing where You were when You shot this and the added dimension of height. Excellent perspective!
Overall a fine photograph My friend! Take care Hugo! My very best.................John

Hey Hugo, Lot's of comments here but I'll add mine. I'm a big fan of building reflections and this to me, is superb. Perspective is very unique so as to throw off the obvious angle of view. The exposure is spot on and I love the way the very slight difference in angle on the glass can change the color. The very faint wisps of clouds , though subtle, is an important aspect of the composition. Well seen, well captured.

stunning, Hugo. I love the point of view & the perspective you've captured here. The colours are amazing - the warm tones off-set against the cooler, steely blues. Glorious.

The reflection of the building is wonderful with intersecting lines.
As if it's a building inside the other.
Well done,

Although it resembles a Clifton Jones shot, as Antonio has said.. the diagonal cropping and area made this special...
As you usually do, very impressive.. and you won?t believe me... I haven?t seen blue skies very often this summer in São Paulo... I?m glad to see it in your photos.... hehe.
Cheers!

hi Hugo.. here, I am.. the small return of the morning here! that to say you have composed an optimal photo the length of the skyscraper is all perfect! more up than therefore he is impossible my friend! you have operated well also with the bilance of the exposure with the result of "a warm" photo in the colors even if the cold glass is strong! my wishes for to big day.. good work!

HI Hugo,

I like your rendition of the classic city scape. Love the artsy flair you have given this via the neat camera angle.

Great contrasting colors, warm and cool!
I look forward to seeing the next TWO(?) I'm assuming you're doing 3 of them of course,
Nice presentation. Your borders are widening of late....I like this!
Good job,

Hi Hugo,

I have a bit of a strange idea of seeing a quilt, done in a lot of manually work, chatted women doing it together...:)

I like the totally different architecture of the reflected buildings, diversity of forms, structure and colours.

The only thing to criticize a bit is the colour of the frame...uuh..not mine. My idea might be a smaller frame and using the light grey of the skycraper. What do you think?

Cheers,
Verena

a poetic Clifton Jones style photo; I do like this kind of city shot Hugo, as you may know. When I posted some of mine UF friends noticed me about Clifton work; but I am quite sure you know him before me.
there are two zone of different blue which are very intriguing here on which I am tempted read a story as two holes...for the true sky

this one gains a lot of power from the diagonal paths into the upper left. you did a great job in maximizing clarity on this one. great work.

Great clarity and idea. I personally am not a lover of the city, more of a country girl. I just spent part of my holiday in Sydney and seen enough of the 'big' buildings to last me a life time, i get headaches from looking up, could have a bit to do with my 5 ft 1 height too ! hehe.....
nicely done Hugo
