About Why I like it: I like it because it catches her mood at the time. I left the lighting 'as-is' because it captured the ambience of the room at the time. I realize to the purist, the white balance is probably off but I'll let it stand as is.

By the way-this is the love of my life!

What gorgeous eyes you've captured. I love that little glint in each.

Best,
Dave

wonderful image Anthony, Gail is obviously in a room full of people and you've mange to isolate her and record a warm interaction, it's all in those beautiful eyes

Hello again Bill...

And again-thanks for you kind words. I'm glad you like this one as your experience and ability are valuable to me.

I did play with the cropping somewhat (this is a crop of the original in fact), but this really looked the best to me as it allowed as much of the 'subject' to be seen as possible and included the ambiance of the room.

Thanks for you kind words about my wife, I (we-lol) appreciate you compliment.

I like it also Tony ..."as is". It's a warm beautiful informal portrait of your wife. She appears to be very comportable there ... and glad to be back on land. lolo. She's beautiful Tony ..... Good job.Some will say .. that they would have cropped it ... but what the hell ... Gail's in a room full of people. :))

~~~~~~~~~ Best .... Bill
Thanks Larry-
This was taken in available lighting during the reception of the wedding I shot. I grabbed this during a break in the action.
Thanks for you kind words and comment.
Matej, thank you again for taking time to view my shot. I always look forward to your thoughtful and experienced opinion on my work.
Your words here have made my heart happy. Do you think I am improving? I hope so!
I am trying not to do all my portraits as headshots, so I am appreciative of your comment about the shot being "in context".
Thanks again-and be well,
Anthony
Nice work, there is a look in her eyes that reveals a strong emotional connection, such a connection between the photographer and the subject makes splendid portraits. I also like the fact that it's not just a headshot but has clear context, this strengthens the involvement because it shows that even in the midst of a busy event you two can share moments of unspoken communication.
I like this photo Anthony. She says a lot in her eyes and expression. I love how she stands out in the photo with other people looking elsewhere. David
