Thanks for taking the time to look, Michael. This is an old UF posting, and an even older image. It worries me sometimes that what I consider my better photos come from so long in the past! AJ

Very interesting light show. I wish I was able to get multiple streaks of lightning. Maybe next time. Thank you for commenting on my image.
My compliments,

Zenith is a greate camera (with lens: Industar or Helios - this is better...)
I use some time Zenith-30E with Industar (fix-focal). Very very nice camera. But too heavy ;-)

Wonderful capture. I captured some lightning strikes a few months ago and still remember the buzz at the time.
Thankyou so much AJ for your wonderful comment.

Thanks Len. Yes, I guess I hit lucky, but I would imagine that many good images are due to a certain amount of luck. The great thing about digital photography is I can now take many more shots in the hope of getting the lucky one... AJ

This is a great shot - though the skill was coupled with a little bit of luck, I'm sure...

Ismael; yup, that was with a Zenith. Actually, the camera had a fantastic lens, and digging back through my old photos I find that many of my favourites still come from those old days... AJ

Thanks Beppo - it was quite some years ago, but I still remember that I was up late into the night. I was staying in a pretty rough block of flats on the north side of London (Kier Hardy House I think the name was...)and the only positive aspect was that it had this wonderful view across the city. I caught quite a few other flashes that night but none as dramatic as this one. Having now got back into photography I hope to get a chance to take this theme further soon. AJ

Nice one AJ, I am new here but yours is the first one I am giving a coment. I consider the light brilliant, and the grain gives it a special nostalgic feeling. Specting more. Best regards Carlos
