John, took a look at your portfolio and it was hard to pick a favorite. You have a good eye. I can see where photography and science can be a lot a like. In both there is close examination and a certain amount patience for the truth to reveal it's self to you. What makes a person a good photographer (and I imagine scientist) is having the good sense to realize you've been presented a gift and to record it well for all to see. Good work.

You were very lucky with the weather on this day. I have been there in the winter (stayed at Chateau Lake Louise with a view out toward the lake) and I have also shot the lake from the ski area across the valley. It's an interesting place.

Amancio - I have a minolta diamage scan dual II. It does slides nicely now that I threw away minolta's crappy software and installed an aftermarket driver

Absolutely breathtaking! Gorgeous scene, perfectly composed with killer sky, turqoise water and the rocks in the foreground are perfectly lit with great detail. The reflection of the mountain in the water is a nice touch! Very well done!
