Anshuman, no doubt that without the steamer, the picture could have been better. Its surely an distracting evement in the frame. But as you mentioned, I did not have any option. These boats are ghat police boats to maintain the law and order for the immersion acitvity. I could not tell them to move out :)

However, if the boat was not there, there woud have been another challenge to fill the empty space. I wanted to keep the colorful clouds in the frame. So I needed the space in right side. In absence of the steamer in that place, the picture would look unbalanced. But I agree to the fact that the every object - the steamer looks foreign here and dimishes the mood of the photograph.

Thanks for your inputs.

Good shot Aurobindo...like the pastel shades of sunset. Am in two minds regarding the boat...maybe it would have been better without? But apnar korar tow kichhu nei! Good work!

I appreciate your first attempt. I am trying these days to master still life myself. I find the very difficult part of it - the arrangement of products, not the photography itself. I am going to see some masters's works to learn something. I hope I'll be able to do it.

Correctly pointed Anindya. I also feel the same. There were lots of distracting objects to the left, like people bathing, and cows, I wish I could reach the place earlier before the day break.

Actually I really don't see any problem with flapping of the birds since you depicted that in the picture. A bit more space on the left would have given the viewer more space to see them fly away.
