Thanks for the comment and feedback. I tried as hard as possible to cut the sky out of the shot entirely, but I couldn't do it without losing some of the motion of the water in the foreground. I think the sky should have more presence, perhaps as my Pshop skills improve, I will someday be able to fix it.

Thanks Gary, I just wish I had this one ready in time for Hallowe'en.

Thanks Danielle. I was quite literally lying in the mushroom patch while trying to set up this shot. It took quite a while to get the proper perspective without crushing any of the hundreds of mushrooms growing at the top of the hill. Passers-by must have thought I was nuts!

Great execution on the collage. I like the balance between shots (as well as the shots themselves). Beautiful collection.

Beautiful shot Eduardo! Very well composed. I particularly like the crisp reflections you've captured. Well done.

Brilliant Dan. The color leaps off the screen. Well done.

Thanks Dan.. I have taken on some different ideas on retouching shots, so this is one of the first I tinkered with. As for the tripod, I use a mini-tripod which has come in handy on many occasions. It fits in the camera case, so its always ready. I recently had to buy another because my old one had a tendency to lean left as indicated in the Stained Glass shot elsewhere in my portfolio.

Very nice perspective. I've never seen an orchid shot from this angle.

Beautiful shot. I can't decide which one I like better, the color or the B&W. The color version has great vibrancy, the B&W feels so delicate. Well done!

Thanks Ann! The marina at the Yacht Club is pretty sheltered from the movement and waves of the lake, so when Okanagan Lake is still, the marina is VERY still. This is a 25sec exposure, and there is virtually no movement blur on the sailboat at all. A lucky break, but isn't that usually the case?

Funny Dan, I never thought of that at the time, but shooting the reflection is a great idea. Name the time and place to go shooting and I'll be there!

Nice ghost effect. The motion blur really gives this an ethereal feel. Too bad she's carrying a cell-phone though.
