Now I have uploaded another shot of the same location, at the same time, which I took with a 35-mm film camera - Praktika MTL5, with a 35 mm Hanimex lens and Fuji Superia 200 color negative film. It shows quite clearly the better dynamics of film compared to my compact digital camera, as well as more pleasant colours and saturation. The things I did in Photoshop to both images are more or less the same, but the results are very much different, I think.

Wow! This only comes to show what pleasure it is to experiment in near-IR - the otherwise ordinary materials and things combine in great combinations and surprisingly contrastive compositions, when viewd through the IR filter.

Hi, Sam, and thank you! Yes, I used a Hoya R72 filter. My little compact makes an awfull mess with the noise AND the noise reduction software, so I have to sharpen very 'brutally' in Photoshop. About the deformity - you are right, and your edit looks far better. There was some perspective distortion because I had to shoot this in the widest-angle position of the lens, and my attempt at straightening the lines using the 'Perspective Crop' was frustrating. Thank you for the time that you took for editing.
