Good job of photographing this one. I find it almost impossible if I try to photograph squirrels because they move about so much.

I think the original post of this image is superior in quality to this version. It may be due to the resize but I can see jpeg artifacts and other effects that aren't present in the original post. Anyhow, I think this a well framed picture with excellent colour and contrast. A good title too.

The rocks and trees in the foreground give a feel for the rest of the valley below that is shrouded in the light mist. Very well composed.

Thanks Mal, I was using the Macro setting and I was very lucky to get the rays shining around the leaf like that.

Thanks Colin, well spotted. I just used a plain old blur tool in paint shop pro on this pic. It seemed to give a stronger effect than the gaussian blur tool but it took longer to apply.
Thankyou again for taking the time to look and to comment.

Excellent action shot. Crisp image and good exposure. The webbing between the back legs looks like some electrical charge between electrodes and adds real menace. Maybe you could try some gaussian blur effect to lessen the noise of the background.

I'm sorry Golboo but I do not understand your criticism "it is not a landscape". I did not want to portray any landscape, rather than focus on a menacing point of view of an innocent flower of a fruit that was once considered toxic. Anyway, thanks for appreciating it and commenting.

I don't mean to sound pedantic, Sam, but the "dead petal" is in fact a sepal. That is to say it protects the unopened flower bud. Plus, I think it would be beyond my limited digital capabilities to remove it effectivly without making a hash of it. Any way thankyou for your comments.

Mmmmm.... Chocolate. Looks like strawberry icecream but.....mmmmmmmm. I like the way you have centred the attention on the sweet by taking the colour from the eater. Good work.

Really good feeling with this photo. The lights on the clouds balance the picture well. I like the blue shades, punctuated by the sinking sun with the shoreline in the foreground. Great stuff...

I was a bit confused by this picture because it seems the main object in it is out of focus. This also inteferes with the background. The parts that are in focus are cropped and behind the dominant shape. I'm not sure..... I think it's a bit random

It looks as though you have taken this photo indoors or at night with a flash. Try taking it outside on a sunny day and the colours should be greatly enhanced. Also, I would try concentrating on the fruit, rather than trying to get everything in shot, maybe approaching from a different angle .

I think i like this one best out of the 4 you've posted so far. It gives a real sense of self harm / abuse and substituting the pain for something else. Or maybe she's just getting wrecked for the hell of it. Who knows but this is a good dramatic photo.
