This is an awesome storytelling photograph. It grabs more than your eye, it grabs your emotions and makes you feel everything that radiates from that photo. good job!

This is an adorbale picture no matter how you look at it! Great shot!! All I can say is you could have used fill flash to lose the shadows on her face so we could see her better, either that or if she were turned the other way so that the sun cast down on the other side (I know conditions arent always perfect when the perfect shot becomes ready). You should also minimize the image pixels so that it would show up better on here and you wouldnt have to scroll to see it, usually 600x400ish works well like this. Great capture and cute little girl!!

Wonderful work here paul! Not only is the coloring saturated perfectly here and the DOF is just great but the story as well is captured perfectly, as usual. I like the way you see things. good work. I like her eyes too, they just capture you and hold you. ~mandy

Awesome shot. Really tells a story, and thats what makes a picture sometimes. I enjoy seeing the 'other' side. These are the pictures we need to see more of. good work.

She does have big eyes and I agree they have probably seen so much more than we will, or our own children do. Those eyes could tell a lifetime of stories. Good capture. ~mandy

Goodness another stunning image. I like this better as thirds, where he is off to the side. Love how you see the gun and the flag next to each other, that speaks a whole story in and of itself. Looks like sunset was upon you, as his face is a bit ruddy and would love to see the sky saturated a bit but as is, its wonderful anyway. I think the gun stands out so much in this photo, its like there in all its brilliance, looming.. awesome capture.. Okay ready for more! Got more??

WoW~ this is amazing! I love it. The DOF is awesome too. How you can see the variance between where the rocks are, the soldiers and the horizon which is just beautiful and intense. Love how you captured it while the one soldier was watching it like "oh no"... Great capture here. Keep up the good work and welcome to usefilm paul!

Paul,
Very nice imagery and yes the contrast of the light and shadow make it more interesting. You can also see fear in the little boys face that is heart wrenching.
The only thing I can suggest here is dont follow the standard of 'centering'. But yes she looks like an angel there to protect the little boy. Nice capture!
