Good idea and composition. Maybe getting a little more parallel to the subject to get more depth of field, otherwise it's great.

Well done! I like the crisp contrast of the light, it makes the photo seem more dramatic. Excellent D.O.F. also. I only wish there was a little more of the spider visible.
