the bush does not add much to the photo. maybe you can select a different point of view (situation permitting).

Perhaps a higher shutter speed. with a larger aperture... maybe you can reshoot as these images are to be found on nyc sidewalks.

Tighter crop perhaps. The other zebra in the background is a bit distracting

Maybe you can try getting closer to the subject. Also.. subject appears to be a bit out of focus.

You are right. It had a scanning problem. I had a very cheap scanner when this was scanned from negative. Since then, I dont have any scanner. It was taken with a multi second exposure at I believe f8. I had braced it against the fence of empire state building.

Forgive my mauling of the photo...but I tried to adjust the tonal range, the color, contrast etc. in PS. I also cropped to the couple. IMHO they appear to be more important to the scene.

Just a suggestion on the composition. I am attaching a slightly cropped image. In my opinion the leaves in the foreground were distracting.

Is it my monitor or is it that the intrinsic lighting is really subdued? The use of the slower shutter speed should have brought out surrounding details besides conveying the sense of motion.
Anyway, composition wise I attempted a crop. I also tried a little brightening up with PS. I hope you do not mind. Regards,Joy
