I like the somewhat shocked expression on his face. His ear has been cut off at the top but the details are good otherwise.

Chubby little bird! Excellent detail and dof. The wire looks a little super-imposed but it's still a great shot.

Wonderful shot (or is it two shots that are stitched together?). I don't think I've ever seen a baby loon before. I love going on canoe trips and hearing their mournful cry. Kara

I'm so sorry for the loss of your pet. Animals truly do become a part of the family. They are friends and they are sorely missed when they pass.
I'm glad you have some wonderful photos (and memories, I'm sure) for you to remember Captain by. Kara

Thanks for your comments Jason. You're dead on: the original picture had a lot more asphalt in it and I decided to crop it. The blur is the unfortunate result. :( Kara

I like the angle of this picture; makes Lady look that much larger.
Is her halter still on because she is difficult to bridle? Just curious as I used to ride a horse that required a halter and treats in order to get his bridle on (and tranquilizers when the farrier came!)
Very nice shot. Kara

A wonderful shot and a nice story to go with it, too. I particularly like the expression on the mother's face; she looks worried for her foal. They are absolutely beautiful animals. Kara

This is Baby, my sister's cat. My brother found her locked in a cage in an alley in Toronto this summer. The vet estimated she was about a month old! Needless to say, she has found a forever home and has flourished. :)
