Thank you for your comments Steve! It wasn't until after I had cropped the heck out of this picture that I learned how to shrink the whole picture without losing clarity of focus. What can I say? I'm a newbie! :)

This is a really fine pic, Kara. The irridescence of the blue really stands out. And such a wonderful blue! I wouldn't touch the background. It adds to the camouflage effect. I'm very slightly bothered by the right wing touching the edge of the frame. I suggest giving it the same setback that the left wing has.

Wow. Beautiful photo. Love the grainy effects. I think the background being so textured adds a little to it actually.

The colours are great, the focus sharp and the overall image is eye catching. If I were to offer some realistic critique I'd suggest that the damaged wings seem to catch the attention plus the backround which appears to be a granite pattern is distracting. All said and done though it caught my attention nicely.
