This is beautiful. Looking out the window together. The bigger cat knows you are taking their photograph, but is too polite to turn around and ruin the moment. CC

This is an interesting image Kara. I find it has a bit of an abstract quality to it. Also, I think the b/w really puts a bit of an emphasis on the textures, especially the central tree.

Good capture of a very nice butterfly Kara. I really like how well the image shows the iridescent blue colour.

All the best.

I like the contrast between the butterfly and the background. It gave this photo the magic touch.

As a CC photo, I'd say that the crop is probably okay, unless you were to really tighten up with a crop and maybe even crop away some of the butterfly, in order to get right in and show whatever detail. So I think it looks good like this. I said in another message that this Z740 captures a lot of detail that didn't necessarily show in another photo you posted. But here it seem over-sharp, just a bit. The over the shoulder pose is fine and shows just what butterflies do with their day.

Thanks for your comments Jason. You're dead on: the original picture had a lot more asphalt in it and I decided to crop it. The blur is the unfortunate result. :(

Excellent composition, Kara. I like the placement of the chipmunk, and the balance created by the pink petals on the other side. I also like the contrasting textures of the asphalt and cement with Chippy and his flowers.

I agree with Gayle that there is a bit too much blur. It almost seems like this was a larger photo that you've cropped, resulting in a loss of resolution. If that is the case, it's deffinately a good choice of crop, and just too bad about the blur. Still a good photo, though, for sure.

Jason.
