Thanks Siamak,

Well, the reason why I wanted it to be way out in the water is because now Ellen and the water is the only thing that is visible. If I would have stood on the beach it wouldn't be as "calm" as it is now.

Actually Vendera just stood like this and I just saw the Weston-image and said that she shouldn't move.

Terry, I'm really glad that I make you smile. That's what photography is all about. And by you saying so, you have made me smile too.

Dave, you are absolutly right. I normally don't take these kinds of images, but sometimes has to be the first time

Wonderful use of the square format. Actually I saw it was a Hassy-shot as soon as I saw the big image.
The tilt and lines are great

David, actually when viewing darker images it usually looks much nicer at night without any disturbing light around you. Maybe this was the reason the images looked better now

To rest:
Thank you all. I really appreciate your warm comments.

You don't have to feel sorry for asking. I will always reply to anyone. In this photo I developed the film (Illford FP4+ 120-format) with D76.

I use the Epson 3170. But I really don't like it. It takes only 120-frame per scan. So it takes quite some time to scan a hold 120-roll. I think I will buy a Canon 9950F since it can take 6 6x6-frames.

Thanks for your comment.

John:

I used a 80x80 softbox on Editas left side (viewed from us). I belive that I coved the half of the softbox with some black fabric (to make the lighter harder than it otherwise sould be). The softbox is aprox 1.5 meters to the left and little higher than Editas face. On Editas right side I have nothing (I usually use someting to reflex the light, lighting up the shaddows, but I didn't use this here. For background I use a dark-blue curtain I bought from IKEA.

Let me know if you have any more questions and I'll try to answere them.

David, when I first saw Emmy, I told her, that I had to photograph her, just because of her long and beautiful neck. So I did a whole session with her only focusing on her neck

So I did NOT make it longer in PS...
And for the grain, I did not use the grain-part in PS, but merely added noise.

Post production, but only because I'm fed up with the digital noise. I want my analog noise back

As always, wonderful lit and the textures in the girls hair. Oh, my god. Once can see that you have used your Mamiya as one should.

Just love to see your work.

Oh, my GOD. How can I have missed such a lovely photo. I can just see right into her soul.

I won't forget this image in a very long time.
Just wonderful. Thanks for sharing...

David: I understand what you are meaning that your eyes is pulled away from the face. However the reason that I show the shoulder so much is because without them it's only a face. In my version I just love the way the shaddows are built up and producing wonderful lines (I don't know what the words is for the bones that are visible below the shoulder).

To the rest of you:
I appreciate all of your comments. They really do matters to me (and naturally David's).

Just thought that I should learn you two Swedish words

Jul in Swedish means Christmas
And if you write an 'h' before (hjul) it will mean wheel.

Lovely picture, by the way...

Thanks Jeroen for your comment. However I don't think that a lighter background would improve this image. What I like in this image is the skirts texture and with a lighter background the texture won't stand out so much. But I appreciate your ideas.
