rEVISITED. On second viewing and with the aid of the comments of the much more knowledgeable critiques youv'e recieved I see where I was hasty in my seemingly dissmissive attitude to this venture. Of course you in fact hav'nt done this before-it just looked like it at a glance. This is not a tomato hitting water - it's water hitting a tomato. A totally original concept and as usual in your generous way you've told the world how to do it. Very kind. (Private E-Mail to follow....) Larry

Excellent the radiant formation of droplets, the strong color and clear tones. Room for improvement, hmm. Maybe DOF, and a slightly darker background, if you ask. But not really important issues, very very good work.

WOW! Love this one. My first thought was how on earth was the tomato in such good focus. Then after reading your info, I'm now wonderine how you just got the drops and not the jet of water coming from the tap!
Great experiment, great job! What on earth would you want to improve? Looks perfect to me!
EXCELLENT work,
Lori

EXCELLENT SPLASH PICTURE, the glitter on the droplets of water is fantastic. I collect such splash pics from various Usefilm authors and yours scores very high on the list. Best, György

Excellent work, here, Shane! Very nice write-up on your process. That is a major reason I'm here: to learn from the great works of others who post here. (Nice tomato, too -- they don't grow that way in my garden!). Keep up the good work, and congratulations on POD! Well deserved!

This is a fabulous variation on the fruit/veg/water splashes theme! The vivid red is superb and clarity of the water drops against the background works beautifully. And having the water move rather than the tomato gives me some ideas for revisiting this subject myself... Congrats on the POD - this image really deserves it. AJ

You say tomato,I say tomayto. Hey Shane-you've done this before! You could take 50 of these now but how would you pick the best one? you couldn't because they would all look different but just the same, if you follow. Now get out of the house-theres a big tomato of a moonrise tonight,so go get it. Larry

the return of the tomatoe! Was there a b movie of that name? The composition is perfect, lighting perfect and the water droplets really are following the script. Should be a winner.
