Cary honestly I like this creative capture! Very Interesting posture of your facial expression specially the way you angle your arm make it great composition with all the elements. Great work Cary! For me is the best! Cheers! Harry

Well thank you for commenting Stephan, you are absolutely right, I guess we don't think of ourselves as subjects, rather only use ouselves as objects, mere props for more important things.

It seems to be such a photographer's thing to focus on the camera instead of on the person behind it :-)

Nah sorry Cary I don't take photos of myself. I especially won't RUN to do it. haha. The photo IS there on the "Stone Alone" thread. You have to scroll down the thread. It's a bad photo though (I didn't take it) haha
Cheers mate - Ann :)

Things are getting tough when the photographer starts taking pictures of themselves. This a great image. Don.

Ha ha Cary....somewhere in one of my image threads I posted a photo of myself to show someone a sign which showed the altitude I was at. I was freezing and had about 4 layers (maybe more) of clothes on as well as 2 hats making me look like a cross between the pillsbory doughboy and a smurf. haha. If you can find it you'll see my smiling mug. Hmmm...thinking it might be the Stone Alone image because it was snowing there. Cheers - Ann :)

Thanks for the comment Ann, Smiling is too much work, besides, I think most people don't always wear a smile and, in fact, most portrait smiles are contrived anyway, so natural you have it! This was just an offshoot of some table top stuff i was doing, if there is a mirror, I get in it, otherwise I would go down in obscurity. I keep looking to find one with your smiling mug in it! Cary

Least you could have smiled for the camera but OK....good shot anyway. I like the tones in this and the nice curve in the archway. there are always lots of elements in your alternative images. The longer I look at them the more I see. Interesting concept and very creative. Cheers - Ann :)
