very cool! I subscribed to an email list that sends our alerts before planned lauches. If they happen close to sunset I hope I'll be better prepared next time.

Robert, what a cool shot. Each time they launch a rocket at night, I will run out to my front yard and look to the west to see this same vapor cloud except you captured a great scene. Good job and go for the SLR...you'll love it.

Great capture! I've yet to see a photo where the rocket/missle is in the frame with the con-trail. Very impressive looking.
