I like the light effects on the middle of the picture while leaving more dark contrast at the edges. Cheers Gayle.

Great colors here. These make me think of Day of Triffids - they are up to something. /H

This is cool? and perfect title ? and to recollect the Swiss Movement. Decades gone by? I had the album, loaned it, never got it back... You know, the old impulse to share what you like with those you like ain?t always a good idea. ;-)?
I like your work Gayle ? the political and the other. Never in a rut, always varied and fresh.

The real and the unreal, yes, perfectly done. I love the ones that are fading into the background quietly, unsuspecting, secretly..the blur adds to the unreal effect..nice textures and tones..the vignette is perfect here..nice post processing, very well done Gayle, hugs..Linda

Hi Gayle,
I like this one very much. There is a great contrast between the living plant and the wall behind, both in terms of colour and atmospehre. It works very nicely as the wall is very regular and cubic but the flowers have curves and irregularity.

Oh yeah, I had to take a second look and now I see how there's a double exposure thing going here which is very cool looking . My next door neighbor Ernie fell asleep in the hallway a while ago, i wanted him to see this. I guess the BBQ's canceled for tonight. If you want to make God laugh tell him your plans......... Great job Gayle !!

ah,you have to hear this song by eddie harris and les mccann...it is jazz, baby, but with an extra oomph! with the vocals...trust me,you will like the lyrics....google the song, "making it real compared to what?" by eddie harris (put all of that in google search...and several links will let you hear some of the tune, but not long enough for the lyrics to begin...but you can read the lyrics which is well worth it) and this ain't mint music, but more like hot toddy spiked!

Hey big girl!

This works very well.
Shadows and green growth bringing hope in unexpected corners.

No idea who Eddie Harris is - more into the friendly frightened fawn of MC Pitman and Phil Ochs, me, so I went and enveloped myself in this image to jaunty melodies and pithy mouthfuls of shadowy growth-engendering words by them instead.

And what happened?

Your image took on an exquisite mineworker feel, what with the background being something you could take a pickaxe to while sucking on a refreshing mint.

Yeah!

Paul

We are high and dry for now ---although the rain bands approach. No worries where I live, no hurricane can be so strong as to touch us here in Dallas. Our big worry is tornadoes, and I have been through more than one of those nasty bastards. Thanks for asking.

well,ya just missed them when uploaded, but actually have several done in this style...it mimics a double exposure somewhat, but is called a mirror ghost in paintshop pro8...depending on your settings,it throws around mirror images...i love to play with it.....as for the music, yes, one of my all time faves! That song is getting a lot of recent airtime on a seattle station i listen to...are you guys ok where you are in Texas?

The title grabbed me on this one, Gayle. "Swiss Movement", a seminal recording. As to the photo, kind of a different look from you--- a surreallistic 3D look to this one, multiple exposures involved?

My mind rejects it...then tries to make it fit. Looking for the mirror...

Neat stuff!

We don't experience real objects but only our perceptions of them. I perceive this as real because it seems to illustrate clearly what your perceptions are. I love it, of course (big smile).

Wow...don't understand what you did, but it's terrific. The dark looks works well here. The b/g texture and those little pops of green...great!
