About Taken in October 2003, this image shows the remnants of a hurricane that ravaged the east coast of the United States and travelled as far north as Nova Scotia. Although I have forgotten it's name, I believe this is the storm that almost destroyed Cape Hatteras N.C. The lighthouse has special significance in this photograph. In the aftermath of Katrina, the residents of the stricken regions will face an emotional turmoil far greater than any storm. In many ways the lighthouse represents the guidance we all need as we navigate troubled waters.

Your About is very thoughtful. You have cetainly captured the ominous nature of the skies in this great composition.

Thanks Andre. Mother Nature really does have us covered. Living on Georgian Bay, offers me many opportunities to appreciate the natural beauty of the landscape.

Beautful Richard -- both your image and about. There is a quite solemnity here. Thank you very much for your contribution. I hope to have enough for the quilt (we need at least 9) if not now, then very soon. Antonia

Richard,
This type of photo always works well when nature dwarfs the man-made items, as you have pictured. Well done!
