About Without warning, a thick wall of low swirling clouds passed over us while we visited Flower Pot Island near Tobermory, Ontario on the afternoon of July 18, 2005. The rain held off just long enough for us to get back to the boat! On the way back, we got completely soaked by heavy rain. This is a panorama of several photos stitched together in Adobe Photoshop. ISO 100.

Thanks Shane!

I'm still thinking how memorable this trip was... lots of adventures, discoveries and surprises (for better or worse ;0) But at the end it was all worth it, and would gladly do it again! Maybe next summer? :0)

Yep, got a number of pictures from the summer I still want to post, including some auroras I took at Algonquin Park. I'm slowly catching up...

Hi Todd,

Yeah, it sure was a huge wall of clouds! My first thought was ... "oh.. that would be just perfect for a panorama"... But I had to be fast due to the quick movement on the clouds not to mention the inevitable rain downpoor ;0)

Hey Pierre,

I really like your composition with the people on one side and the rocks on the other. It really gives it scale. And to think we were standing there racing to get some shots before we got TOTALLY soaked! Ah ... it was well worth it! Excellent shot and great sewing job too.

Hi Pierre,

That's an incredible vista. I love the composition with the people on one side and the flower pot on the other. You really get the feeling of the enormity of the storm.
