Kovacs -- this has been one of my favorites, because it may be the best possible capture any of us can get. The boy strains to eat a scrap of food while the money of war comes up behind him. This is the most memorable "message" photo I have seen on this site, and a fine piece of work. I hope the boy is okay now...

very strong photo! The beautiful light and color would fit perfectly for a modell shot, a beautiful little girl on a meadow with flowers. But its this poor, dirty boy and it is obvious his childhood is everything else but nice and bloomy.
I love the sparkle in his eyes.
