Yeah, I had fun, but most of it involved me and my Camy.

Dear Paul, Glad I waited until you put in your thoughts on LV cause I couldn't agree with you more. I haven't been there for so long - might have been when FDR was still US pres. - that I have no IDEA what it's like today (I suspect the buildings have changed but the vibe remains the same - yep, that's were the anxiety comes in. Did like Scorsese's film "Casino" though - LOL) With that said a very nice shot from LV's little model (I thought I read it was 70% to scale - but not exactly sure on that now) Good idea including "the Paris Ball" on the bottom. IMO it balances out the shot much better with the more exciting razzle dazzle in the upper half of the shot. Very good compo on this one, good work. (ah come on, just one more $20 on the slots - jackpot time - I can FEEL it ! haha......) All the best, Mark PS Hope you still had a bit of fun

Hi, Dottie!
I've never vacationed in Vegas, only worked trade shows, so there is a built-in anxiety about heading there, as it is the largest, most expensive show we do each year (National Association of Broadcasters).

I'm genuinely underwhelmed with its celbration of artificiality, and since I can do the math, I don't gamble either. ;) (you know what they say: "Gambling is a tax for people who can't do math").

I'm not sure if I uploaded any of Jim or MM's pictures from when we quaffed some cold ones in San Antonio; I'll likely have to upload them to my fotki site when I get back from this business trip (first Milwaukee, then St. Louis).

Great Shot, Did you ever see my photo of the strip from the air?

http://www.usefilm.com/image/631926.html

I have family there, so usually dobn't think of it as the big hot spot like everyone else, but it certainly is a unique place. Dottie PS Loy says you have some "interesting" photos of him & MM, care to share the links? DD

Hi paul -

Nice shot of 'the strip'. I would be tempted to rotate the shot very slightly clockwise to balance the perspectives.

Great place to shoot from - I would imagine it to be a reasonably good vantage point to get the bellagio fountains.

Nice work

Steve
