About I took about five photos of these tulip anthers and stamens before I noticed this tiny spider in the well of the flower so maybe he was hiding under a petal before I spotted him. Naturally, he immediately became the focus of my efforts. He is no more than a sixteenth of an inch across the body. The only insects visiting the tulips were bumble bees about 1,000 times his size so I don't know what he was expecting for dinner.

Natural direct sunlight. No manipulation or sharpening.

EXIF file shows: f5.6 1/423 secs

Nice macro, Martin-- lots of detail. I can see why you missed the little fellow at first. He sure is small.
