You have wonderful Church related photos! Course, I am partial-being a sunday school teacher and all. This is a wonderful and huge church...If only people would realize how much the hope inside the church dwarfs the buildings which are man made! Do you use your own photography for your weekly bulletins? If not you should!

You really have luck to the sky. Is it because you're a pastor and you have "connections" up there? ;-)

Yes, Mike, the clock is really there! Not sure about the age of the building though. It's set in a beautiful Somerset village called Hinton St. George. Thanks for the comment. Kind regards, Chris

Hi Chris, that looks like an old saxon(?) building in Oxford (st Michael's church? I could be wrong) with the square pillar style, and I was told when I entered that one it was about 1000 years old.. I love the background sky you have captured with this, do they really have that clock on the building??

You were fortunate with the sky, Chris. It adds a touch of brightness to a rather dark image that might have looked drab without it. It would have been nice if the lights had been on inside the church, wouldn't it! Is that beyond the scope of PhotoShop, I wonder...?

Chris In an earlier post you mentioned how you liked the lens the D70 came with. Nikon makes some great glass, the 18-70 has ED glass, extra low despersion, In short maks it sharp !! That said, I beleive you have done a heck of a job with your regular lens// This is a great image, wonderful to say the least jimc
