Thanks again Stephen,
When you think about it, a good companion image for my Hawk and Gull image.
With this one, I was just fooling around with some Photoshop. The Gulls up against the bare sky were just asking for something else to be put in the image with them. The Angel is a small garden ornament from my Brother's yard.
I had fun putting them together.
Thanks again.

Thanks for going back so far in my portfolio to find this one. It's always nice when an older image gets found again :)

Yes Annemette, I was refering to the B&W version with no comments.
This one has been fairly successful. It was actually quite easy to do because of the white statue and the white clouds blending so nicely.
Thanks again,
Andre

The first comment in two years on this one? Incredible especially because it´s such a wonderful idea well executed. No wait- that must be the B/W ornament you´re talking about!
Thanks for explaining how you did it- feeding the seagulls was not cheating:-)It was just you being creative:-)
Take care
Annemette

Thanks Annemette,
It is always nice when someone takes the time to go back and look in the back pages of a portfolio. All of our favourite, or sometimes best work is not necessarily the most current :)

I had a lot of fun doing this one. The gulls were taken from a series I took in the middle of a feeding flock. (Bread crumbs are cloned out :)
I set the camera on multiple frames and my wife threw bread crumbs in the air. Cheating? :)

The angel is a photo of a cheap lawn ornament that I took at a backyard party at my Brother's house. It is only about 8" high. The original shot of the angel was in colour. But one of my very first posts to Usefilm was a B&W version of this angel.

I just noticed that if you comment on this shot, you will be the first in over two years :)
Thanks again

I was looking back in your portfolio and this one caught my interest. Very good PS- work, Andre! The angle and clarity of the seagulls and the blurred sculpture in combination with the words is just amazing! A pity about the wing of the one seagull that is cut off, but I go by overall moods and impressions in photos and paintings, so it is of no importance to me.
Best wishes
Annemette

Thanks Mary,

The birds were actually in that position. Only the angel was added :)

Thanks Toni,
I'm still pretty new to the photo-shop manipulating, but I'm having fun fooling around with it.

I had a feeling you would like this one Mary.
How about the "Demons Fly" next to it? Too dark?

Thanks Randy,

It helped a lot when I erased the piece of bread crumb that the seagulls were fighting over. :)

My second thoughts are that the angel could have been more subtle, blending even more with the clouds.

These two images really lent themselves to being merged into this fine creation. Nicely done, and a great little quote to go with.

Thank you Fitore,

I think I will have to try a contrasting demons image next, just to balance the project.

Wow. Nicely done, I like it. It reminds me of a painting I saw in Louvre. Good job.
