to few i say without thinking, without hiding and revealing, whatever i feel it just comes out and surprises me as well as i grew i came to many ways of individualism commercial world attracted me in the begining then later i thought it must be friendcircle and what it creates, the glamour world, then i see the amazements of the religion in the croweds mind, the fantastic way they read scriptures and calls 'god' later i went in the marijane trip and saw the world of art and mysticism, the jazz, i listened the instruments which created the music beyond my (comprehension)imagination, literature that writes and gives freedom to other to express created a thirst in me to express and explain but the problem came what to say, do i even know anything. i found i know nothing my ignorance is like a iron pillar it foundation is deeper then my reach.... i started looking at the world they way it is found twig expressing many times millon world then their scriptures the dirties place was heaven many times the drop and puddles looked enlightend the human body became instrument from god,,, a little movement of anything created great ripples i found the same words deceive and the same words creates trust and becomes the path for the person to tread on..i feel mysterious and ordinary strange is the world that rocks day and night. the burning desire to create, sustain and destroys i witness daily. i feel oscar wilde is right in some ways "art is an intense mode of individualism".... i liked ur epression through sketching it is primitive but that is where the beauty lies primitive people are those who are not yet got stunged by the modren bee they are more close to heart less manuplative their song arise out of livin in this moment not out of past.. they are more innocent then the people who are educated in modern ways less critical. their approcach towards life is through the feelin of heart not through mind .... i would like to add a poem since i liked ur title very much ..... the bauls say..... my heart is saturated, but i wish i knew with what joy or death.
a sense of wonder has overtaken all. where is that ocean and where are the rivers and yet still the waves are there for you to observe, only if you unite your eyes with ur heart.
the baul says their is no patience in my heart. shivering with tears it cries with the eyes, and in the silence of lovely sound forever calls, come beloved come come, please come! so, i like the primitive people their way is not the way of the austere man neither of the monk, it is the path of dancer the singer the aesthetic man his prayer is full of beauty and god is not a concept of philosophy but of beloved... i feel good for ur primitive essence retain it know its flavor and spread it to those who needs it thanks for sharing ur beautiful piece

It's been a long time since I'd seen any of your drawings, Alison - they're really good! I don't think I'd ever seen you do watercolors, but the one in the photo is great (combined with the ink pen, right?) Your wood-block press is still in storage down here... :)
