About Another shot from our rather cold and drizzly walk around Stourhead. But I'm not complaining!!! It's just great to be able to walk, to see, to shoot, to hold hands, to drink in the changing beauty of the seasons?

I hope you like the 'Spracklen' treatment!

Best regards to all,

Chris

I nearly said "Where have all the craftsmen gone - long time passing". Maybe the craftsmen that built this window have gone, but your skills with the camera and editing have replaced them Chris. Magnificent piece of work on your part.

That is quite a nice treatment of this window Chris. You know how to bring out the best and subdue the worst in a picture. Great work. Don.

Well, Michele, I did quite a bit of work in PS CS, including?
Adding a duplicated layer and using an inverted 'glowing edge' filter with the 'soft light' blend mode to brighten the image up a little and to give it a subtle painterly feel?
Boosting the H&S by quite a bit?
Making the dark trees to the left a little brighter by using the 'shadow/highlight' tool?
Using an orange, warming 'photo filter' on the flattened image?
Darkening the whole thing down, then darkening the edges a little more using a heavily feathered eliptical selection?
Then using the 'sponge' and 'dodge & burn' tools to add the finishing touches!!
I hope this helps!
Best regards, Chris
P.S. You can never be TOO curious!! )
