Thanks Em. This location has a very special feel to it, isolated enough that it has an eerie quiet. On this day about a week ago I was totally alone, and the effect was most spiritual.

what a beautiful and moody pic dear Richard.... when i first saw the title, i thought it was taken in Scotland... the building has a personality of its own while standing pround... good you captured it before it is turned to a commercial attraction and looses its special magic... love the perspective and the rich tones... very well done... emy :)

PS: i am also happy with he results of the particular film (let alone the time saved from the dark room...) regards...

Thanks Fadel, I think in a way I try to use B+W to express mood the way you use colour. Despite what some people say about C-41 B+W film, I am happy with the results I am getting. I do know that I will have to move up to darkroom work someday, so I can make use of Kodak Tri-X and Plus-X while they are still available.

Thanks Neal, the location has a spiritual feel to it. There is a sad story attached to the structure, too long to go into here. If you put "Castle Glen" or "Briton Bath Osler" into your search engine you might find it.

Thanks Pat, I think it will be a year or two before construction starts. We may not be able to stop the development, but possibly we can slow it down or even downsize it.

Beautiful ghostly shot. I hope they at least manage to preserve some of the old instead of just leveling the site and starting anew.

Me too Rebecca, me too. There are people fighting the development, but against a large development corp ...........

Beautiful composition and tonal range here. Awesome contrast. I hate to see this become a commercial venture :(
