Rex,, The other shot of the same bull did not come across with your comment.

I understand your lighting situation.. Been there many times when the shot of the day was in front of me and the light just wasn't there.

I have to admit I am a bit jealous of your nack to get so close.. I strive to get these type of shots. It aint easy. I supose guys like us could just go to the closest zoo and burn some film but what fun would that be?

Hello Pat...well lets see..yes i understand about the rule of thirds..and i wll try harder to remember that on the next shot..as far as the lighting goes...it was 6:30 am and overcast that morning...there wasnt a lot of light (natural) to be had...and i never use my flash as they are to far away to have it be effective...and i dont want the flash to spook the herd..thank you so much for your comments...they are valued...here is another of the same bull..he was getting nervous of me being there...and started to bellow..i took it as a warning and backed off

Rex, a great sight! A bit under exposed. I would like to see the Elk more to the right of the frame, (rule of thirds) and tilted down some to show all of his leggs.
