Hi Thilo and thanks for your input.. the picture is already heavily cropped.. would probebly not work to crop it even further as it would be digital aka pixel would be shown. I would miss those rays also.. so im not sure about your idea but i havent tried it so i dont know for sure! =) Thank you for your idea my friend =)

the cloud formation and the rays are really good here. like the bird a lot. I'm not so sure about the airplane though ;-) to be honest, I would remove the remainings and let the picture just work as a single bird =)

Sadly, I have never flown with my still camera. Too dangerous. I have some video with a movie camera mounted on the wing. Some pilots do mount and shoot remotely though. The world is so different from there. My heart is in my mouth the whole time. It's like this picture. :)

I looked at the picture again...and notice the white line above the cloud. It's the smoke from the jet engines!! You caught two birds in you shot! I guess that's why you say to "get a ticket and rent some wing"? WOW!

I am about to give you a huge secret (maybe not a secret - but a lot of people dont know how much a difference software makes). Go to www.phaseone.com and download the free 30 day trial for C1Pro. I have been using it and it is the best software I have ever seen for RAW conversion. Absolutely does the best job - gets rid of Moire but still gives you unparalleled sharpness. I am going to buy it soon for sure :)
