About As I mentioned in the previous photo the title ?industrial music? I need to say that this title can only apply to authentic industrial bands like Coil and Einstürzende Neubauten. All followers that call themselves ?industrial bands? do not actually perform industrial in the way the Dadaists and the above bands did. It is true that the Dadaists performed the first type of a-tonic music that reflected the sounds of the city. Einstürzende Neubauten used to go to houses under construction and DANCED to the music of the drills!!! This was a kind of poetic, surreal protest and has a deep symbolic meaning. All new-industrial bands simply perform ?noise-industrial?, which is a different kind of music that includes distortion and techno, trance etc elements. Bands like Einstürzende Neubauten and side projects, like Pansonic, use drills, low mowing machines and all kinds of tools to their concerts as well as electric instruments. One?s mind can actually get tripped, but trust me, in an intellectual way! The music though is difficult and experimental. The visual part is also interesting as the bands perform in a theatrical way. All fans know how someone can be addicted to this kind of performances that resemble ?The Residents? performances on stage.

To learn about the above bands:

I agree with you, "Open live eyes " (the image was shit at a concert live), "God" he is The God.. BUT he is not unfriendly!! He is rather sweet and took us to ecstasy...

Open live eyes from an unfriendy mummified god!

I'm scared.

That's a great picture! What I really like the fact, that with the shake, blur, colors, grain and crazy eyes you really captured the spirit of this band. NICE!!!

How cool, Mary! I might be one of few Americans who loves Einsturzende Neubauten! I've been a Blixa Bargeld fan for years, and they have always played by thier own rules, and consistently broken down barriers. I too, have always been fascinated by the use not only of industrial tools, but the simple percussion of forged metals, bells, saw blades...or just sand being poured onto metal objects, cigarettes being smoked...and on and on. Thier style is distriguished by their lack of rules. I am so happy that we share this! This picture, by the way, rules! I will definitely check out Coil.

it is less interesting in the thumbnail than it is full size. his head movement + their light + your timing resulted in a nice picture - that wouldn't be that special without this kind of eye contact...
bye mary :-)
