This is a beautiful shot, Kim. I like the DOF and the composition most expecially, and the wonderful colors. The green and gray go well with the pink (the flower is a pink, a Deptford pink, or a Dianthus, a relation of the carnation). The yellow blob is a bit distracting, I wonder how it would look if it is rubber stamped into green. At any rate, the picture is excellent as is and it is beautiful. Congratulations!
Thank you for your comments on my photos.

This is a very beautiful scene, very well enhanced by the shallow depth of field and the softness this lends to the flowers. They become so delicate and get a lot of emotional content this way. Excellent shot! Best regards Jorg

*lol* Thanks Sai, for the options for this image... I like the way it looks with more of the right cropped. Thanks again for the comments!

Wow - amazing shallow DOF in this! It almost looks as though the flowers were floating on murky water... (OK, I see that's already been said a couple of times, but it's what popped into my head, too! :) I wonder if a crop to exclude the yellow blob at right would make for a 'cleaner' palette of just purples, grays and greens? Really a gorgeous image!

A beautiful shot Kim. This is really all about DOF and the quality of the very nice soft colors in the out of focus background. The colors and BG are wonderful. I do think the very sharp "spear" in the middle is a bit distracting, but otherwise I love this and often try to do it myself.
Thanks for your nice comments on my Horse Daisy photo. Cheers. Craig

Dreamy, professional look. That lower flower really pulls this image into an outstanding category. I might have cropped a little off the right hand side. Beautiful colors, inspirational.

There is no need for another shot after this one... Love the floated flower in the lower left and how the one on top just enters into the plane of focus as well.

This is really great and worth the bug bites! The dark day really pulled the colour out of these flowers (clover and... I was going to say Sweet Williams, but I don't think they are). Your DOF is perfect and the sharp bits are super sharp . . . I love how the flower heads are floating above an indistinct background. The sharp bud is a nice contrast to the rounder shapes around it, but I feel the slightly sharp blade of grass (?) on the left is not sharp enough (plus, it looks like it's cutting the flower underneath it in two), and therefore is a bit of a distraction.
Awesome job! :)

Found arrangements are infinitely more interesting than intentional ones. The beauty just comes through in a more genuine and natural way. To me there is just more order in it.

It does have that feeling of pulling too. Great DOF. Its just like they swam up out of the fog. Beautiful.
