I valueted this comment as "Excellent".
You're right, it's very difficult to get great depth of field in the woodland.
Anyway I don't like very much your crop.
I think that the rocks out of focus in the bottom of both left and right corners not only frame the image but also give a sense of depth of field.

Emma, I like this shot, it's got a strong composition with the trunks of the trees on the right, and the foreground rocks lift it out of the ordinary, unlike some of the other rather indifferent 'woodland' scenes on Usefilm. However, it's slightly spoilt for me by the rocks in bottom left corner being so out of focus, if these had been sharp, it would have been so much stronger. (It's difficult to get great depth of field in woodland, the light levels are so low, a tripod is almost essential.)
I've taken the liberty of cropping your image to eliminate that side of the picture - what do you think?

E' si... i colori dell'autunno sono proprio belli. Solo una cosa... io avrei inclinato la macchina fotografica un pu' in basso (meno cielo e pił spazio alle pietre). Ciao"
