Bons ventos o trazem... faz tempo que não tenho notícias tuas.. deve andar como eu.. cheio de trabalho até....
Adorei a visita..
Também ando meio sumida, como deve ter notado.
Amei o pombo esperando o trem que já vem, que já vem, que já vem....
Beijo grande!

:-D

How dare they take the rubbish out of his "art"?

Excellent comment, Svend!

Train-spotting pigeon, funny as always! Good one. Angelo, I came across this article in the Guardian online. I laughed and laughed:

When is a bag of rubbish not a bag of rubbish? When it's an integral piece of a high-profile exhibition at one of London's most famous galleries.
Sadly, though, the distinction was lost on a cleaner at Tate Britain who chanced on the bag - part of an installation by Gustav Metzger called Recreation of First Public Demonstration of Auto-Destructive Art - and promptly threw it out.
The organisers of the gallery's Art and the Sixties show admitted yesterday that the bag had been mistaken for rubbish and thrown into a crusher by the cleaner on June 30.
Although the bag was fished out of the Tate's crusher as soon as the mix-up came to light, Metzger is understood to have felt it was beyond rescue.
He was offered compensation, but told Tate staff that the piece was ruined and created a new bag as a replacement. The new rubbish bag is now put in a box overnight for safe keeping. "An artwork by Gustav Metzgerin Tate Britain's Art and the Sixties exhibition is made up of several elements, one of which is a rubbish bag included by the artist as an integral part of the installation," a spokeperson told the London Evening Standard.

Hilarious! It seems that fate has a way of eliminating the worst excesses of so-called modern art: first the Saatchi collection fire, now this! The cleaner should receive a Knighthood! But I shouldn't write that. I haven't seen the work of art in question. Poor Metzger: "They ruined my rubbish!". Rgds, Svend

Dear Angelo,

I really like the several vertical lines that leads and tricks the eye. a minor thing: The image looks a bit static. perhaps a slight blur (the train?) would intensify the subject a tad.
take care,
thilo

Boa, muito bem vista.Se tiveres veia e geito, seria interessante ler cronicas tuas sobre o Londres do pequeno dia, não o Londres imperial...
Abraço parabens por esse estilo muito atento ao teu mundo.

Dear Angelo, Didn't know about you till the home page with the "Opera Houuse" shot. I see you have A lot of very good work on your pages + you're from Brazil which I've been to many times from top to bottom - All the main places and some not so main. A great country, nice people, and a great place for Photography (plus great food)- Always get a lot of good shots there. This is a really good shot. I would just crop a little off the bottom to make the pigeon and train a bit more prominent. I think HCB would have liked your work. Please visit my page when you get a chance (I also do travel photography and some other stuff) I have a lot of work but have been very slow posting the photo's this year. Plan to speed it up. Good work, Mark
