Hi Linn, it's good to see that you've been photographically busy! Well, I've looked at all three versions of ranunculus (ranunculi?)and I've settled on this one. Perhaps it's the sepia that sets the mood. Or maybe it matches the mood of the lighting. It definitely has a nostalgic look about it. The cross-hatch background is an added plus.

this Sepia version is my fav of this series although they are all strong photos. I guess its the combination of warmth and lack of distracting color that attracts me to this one over the others.

Hi Linn! I think I prefer it in sepia, at least with this background. Anyway, a very beautiful composition/arrangement and gorgeous flowers ...

A bouquet for a bride in 1920 wearing an ivory lace gown and veil. That is what this says to me.

Hi LInn,

I like this one better than the colors. I read the other comments, and I think I agree about the darker flower....So far this one really appeals to me, and that's what it's all about anyway, what appeals to our eyes!!

Now, I'll go check out the black and white.
Lori :)

ps...yes, Neil is always so kind to offer help!!
Thanks Neil :) :)

Nice Linn, I do not know which I like more, the B&W, or this in sepia tones... Both are really lovely...

Cheers,

Maria

Fabulous, they look like paper or lovely sheer fabric, and the sepia makes it looks as though they shimmer with silver and gold

Nice , but as mentioned the dark one really pulls the attention to it. I like the color better

Well thought out arrangement of the flowers although the black one could have been left out as it distracts the attention from the rest.I like the unobtrusive background,a softly toned blue might be worth trying out too-but quite desaturated(with the texture showing through) so that it doesn't compete with the flowers.Good work-I'm amazed that no one else has bothered looking at or commenting on your photo.Regards,Tony.
