Hi Andrew, Very nice and almost abstract image. Well composed, and the high level of details in the shady part under the wing is fantasti. Great abstract image. A pitty they took this part of airline history out of service.... Excellent shot!
I am moved by this not only because of its intrinsic, rather shocking beauty, but because it reminds me of the work of the American Precisionist painters (such as Charles Sheeler and Ralston Crawford), whom I love. In this age when we are all drenched in information, allusions to older works are inevitable. whether intended or not, and whether in the eye of the creator or the viewer. To me they add great richness to the aesthetic experience.
