About	Another old street shot from 2003, this of the soon-to-be-replaced freeways marring the waterfront. In the distance can be seen the two boondoggle stadiums ,for football and baseball, that the voters--twice--rejected. Again, I went back and forth on color or B&W. Here's the color version.

Very Jetsons! There is a real dynamism to this image. It is quite compelling.

I much prefer the color. the multi-tomed green in the foreground appears to be a living thing amid the moody grey masses.
I also enjoy the geometry of the freeway, gently sloping underneath itself like some mysterious two-headed snake.

Extravagant, "flying X" composition, marvelously baroque and virile! I think views like this must have awakened the inspiration for many sci-fi stories of monsters destroying cities, for indeed some of our immense structures resemble alien life forms, as the green arch in the foreground here certainly does.
