About	A huge thunderhead was building just to the north of my house last night, and I tried to capture a clear bolt of lightning. Tripod set up, but only baby bolts were captured. So, this wide-angle shot best shows the power billowing up into the night-time sky (it was fully dark by the time I shot this). All details of this cumulonimbus were provided by diffused lightning from within. An 8 second exposure f 8.0 with tripod.

Looks biblical..quite the ominous looking night clouds..the high grain from the low light works well for this image..be very careful with lightning storms..i saw my grandmother's dog light up when lightning struck the chain fence next to it..not a pretty site..gayle
