for me, to include the whole image would make a stronger contradiction between the absolute beauty (as you said) hanging over in its loneliness and the lonely but walking person... nevertheless - and thats good about photography and how people see and perceive things - as Biliana said... you have a vision of your own... a non interesting photo from you???? that is something you have to try really hard to do dear elfin.... kisses

Olga thank you for the comment!! It honors me you to be able to understand what haunts me... ordinary people, ordinary, common, unimaninative shots is what makes me bored... We all face boring situations all day it is our only freedom to create something that escapes predictability and lack of "spirit"... and the only revolution!

Although I am a beginner I can see clearly why the photographer ( you) doesn't want to include the whole image of the second photo.It is simple, isn't it?Adding the head would have meant limiting sb's imagination and making this wonderful image , just an ordinary street photograph.But not you , dear Mary!Keep on working.I love your work!

Emily allow me to agree with Ben "the poster hanging above him adds intrest and makes the subject look smaller, but doesnt disract from the subject itself." If the image was included in the frame the photo would be too ordinary, and not interesting at all. The reason is that it depicts Maria Callas, the absolute beauty, that would draw all attention!!
