Gayle,
This is in front of Salty's on Alkai. We had a wonderful dinner there, a gleaming sunset, and then those night shots I'd posted earler.

I didn't even notice the green on the sculpture until I opened it at home.

hahahhahaha... i actually thought this was an old artillery shell the first time i looked at it (i served in the army in the past, engineers tho). interesting composition to be sure paul. good work my friend. perhaps, if i might suggest, enhance the colours somehat in photoshop? then again. maybe not...

Thank you Paul for the insight, I have only had a digital camera in my hand...and it seems that I am drawn to colorful images. When I turn the photo into B&W to just see the difference..it is always flat and dull to my eye. The one image I uploaded that way, was only done to work around upload requirements. Your little tid bit on texture and shadows is greatly appreciated and I will try and see if I can hone in on that skill...Gloria

I think a lot of that is due to my upbringing as a B&W photographer. It taught me to pay attention to textures and shadows.

Excellent Paul...love the contrast of color and textures..and the green oxidation...wow..it is just a softer rendering of the grass..again, you have a fantastic eye to be able to pick up such fine details....Gloria
