I like both the colored one and I think the sepia-tone is also very elegant, super image :)

best regards,

It is an elegance indeed Linn! There is something warm about sepia mood. You have done real well in this shot. Cheers.

Nothing wrong but good. Maybe a bit more contrast bewtween dark and bright areas to create a better snes of depth. Very goo, Linn. Regards, Rob.

As a first try..very beautiful.
I can show you a nice and easy way of adding tone to photos (assuming you do not know about it). when you go to PS, first go to image>mode>grayscale. Then image>mode>duotone where choose ink 1 black and ink 2 you can try different colors and see how the tone will change. If you like the result, change the image to RGB you can adjust the level, contrast . You will love ;-) it is not difficult
. if you need any help just let me know.

Thank you Bea - today we are having a very very cold day - just the right kind of weather to stay huddled in my office and play around with PS. I want to go through my older images and get some practice with sepia and B&W

Hi Peter
I think you misunderstood. The sepia and colour images are exactly the same image. Original was shot in colour. The sepia version was toned with PS (or in my case, Elements 2.0)

I think it's well presented and great subject. I've only done sepia via software. I still have a camera the can take sepia. I think I'll try it. You've got me interested if taking sepia shots.

Thanks for sharing...
Your friend, Peter

Hi Linn... The sepia tones are great, but comparing it with the color one... I like the other one must... But don't feel sad... You did a great job here...

Hi Linn
Wonderful sepiatones. In B&W it Probably would have too much contrast. If this is your start, I will waight for others!
Kind regards
Ellen

Hi Chris
It's exactly the same image :-)

OK - I did what the teacher said and added a touch of film grain filter to it. Should I not have?

How does one liven up a drab sepia image? Now THAT is the kind of secrets I want to know

And if anybody feel so inclined, they can take my colour version and let me see their sepia interpretation :-)

Gotta be honest, guv ~ prefer the pretty colours.
This one looks a little drab and noisy.
Too honest? Sorry, but you did ask! :>)
The form, of course, is another matter! As with the first version, the form is perfect!
Kind regards, Chris
