Very nice! You have beautifull pictures of landscapes. I like them all but like this one more because of the negative and positive space, contrast, colors, textures, and sharpness. Very good framing. Very nice perspective. Good!!! Adriana U.

Get on with you, Roger!! I appreciate your thoughtful comments and I certainly see the danger. I really must try and put a series of shots together that use softer colours and rely a little less of PS work. Don't ever think yourself presumptuous ~ I always appreciate your advice! Best regards, Chris

I appreciate what you say about your style, Chris, but don't get trapped in it. There is a place for softer more natural colours, which in my fading memory often seemed particularly characteristic of the English countryside. I'm not saying this would have been a better photo done differently, I respect your vision. But it is possible to get into a place where you can't see any alternative to your own view, and that would be a shame. Forgive the presumption of this. You're a far better photographer than I will ever be...

Hi Chris, Very well composed shot, but maybe a tad over saturated. Still the blue flowers come out beautifully, and the fresh colours do create the atmosphere of spring perfectly. Very nice shot!
Cheers,
Hugo

Intense color is the theme here, the landscape providing an appropriate background for the shocking colors.

Thanks for the comment, Giuliano. The colours are intentionally oversaturated ~ that's my style! Having said that, the light was strong and low and the colours were very vivid when I shot the picture. Unfortunately I don't yet have a copy of CS, I'm still using PS7, but I've used a demo version and look forward to upgrading as soon as I'm able. Kind regards, Chris

I find the shot too contrasted and oversatured. The blue flowers appear unnatural. If you have Photoshop CS you can adjust the highlights and shadows
