Hi Cindi, Thanks for your comments. I actually think with modern technology, it has expanded our horizons greatly with the ability to make a minor adjustment to a photo. Here's to both film and digital. They are both ART. :-) Dina

Hi Dina - thanks for your comment here, since this was a darkroom print there was no shall we say 'photoshop' editing used, thus light from above through his hair through palm - ps work often makes us "gods' - I'm laughing hard now! To me getting down to REAL black and white and I TOO have the digitals - forces me to really pay attention to bw aspects of 'truer nature' -- your opinion is greatly appreciated, don't feel anyone should apologize for that. Wanted to share more detail. So you may say I swing Both ways - digital and traditional - with a special fondness for the 'old school" - Regards, Cindi - Let's here it for working!!!!

Hi Cindi, Looks like you snuck up on this one. A flash would have disturbed the mood. Great modeling in shadow-backlit areas.

This is a beautiful shot Cindi - It is crystal clear and the mood and lighting is perfect. The spot of light on his face near his right pinky is a little distracting but i think i am too picky. Great job!

No, I haven?t actually ever flown an ultra light on my own, but someday I will. There really cool and I use them whenever possible for arial stuff. They fly quiet, low and can nearly turn on a dime. It?s also a lot less expensive than hiring a helicopter. The photo on usefilm was e-mailed to me by nice a woman from Scotland. She saw me getting into the thing at the airport in Victoria Falls. I had hired the guy to fly me around the falls a few times. I?m sort of an old rock-roller as well; I had run sound and toured with a rock band for several years. Yea, I had hair down to my a-s for quite some time.
I love the 300 2.8 and use it all the time. Thanks for the news on the D100, I?m either going to purchase the D100 of the new Fuji S3.
Finally, the photos Awesome. Everything?s just perfect! It?s also nice to see someone actually hand printing photos. I still keep a darkroom and print as much of the B&W as I have time for?..and sent the rest out.
It's always a pleasure.
