About This is my first time shooting portraits of people. After I showed my picture portfolio to a professional, he said, you should start taking pictures of people now. and so i did today. I was really intrueged on how this picture turned out. Please give me all the feedback possible about this photo, tear this apart and explain what i should change. Thanks, and enjoy!

Beautifull portrait. Excellent light and tones. The girls's expression is excellent too. Best regards,
Damir.

Hey Drew I love this pose. The lighting is good that it shows the time of day, and it sets a good mood. I love the way her hair hangs over her face.
There's a spot of black on the lower left that draws my eye away from her, which might not be good. Also, there are a couple pointy hairs that could have been touched up.
I would change the red tone on her skin. If you were to go professional, you'd really have to watch for skin tone because some people don't like pictures with their face all blemished. Also, I like the expression she has, however for me, with that sort of lighting I picture more of a happy personality. It seems like she should be smiling even slightly.
Good job with this one.

this is a really great portrait. the composition is supreme, the sky behind laura is very lovely. i wish though that her face wasn't so red. her expression is so nice and the background is very interesting. i love all the lines. great shot!

Hi Drew Well Its 4 am and I can't sleep just sitting here when I came upon your portfolio

Every now and then I run across a novice with talent like you. It all ways gives me a rush.
advice----Fun have a good time be open or you will get bored. Use as many different cameras you as you can(very importent don't use auto programs use manual only)) , shoot the same photo 5 or 6 times at different times of the day learn to see the light
You already see the picture in your mind thats why your shots are so good Congrats John

I like it, I haven't taken very many portraits, as I am just starting out, but I have to say that this appears to me to be a great photo.

I just noticed that you are in Tigard, I'm down here in Corvallis, anywho, I like this shot a lot.
